Since 1994, we've been helping small businesses get "Big Business" benefits.  We specialize in group insurance products (like medical, dental, vision, life and disability coverage), individual medical insurance , and helping seniors navigate the complexities of Medicare.

We can access many different insurance products so you can get the right one for you.

Our agency only offers services in the life, medical, and employee benefit market.  We are not a "generalist" we specialize in these very complicated products and services, this is not one of several things we try to do - Employee benefits, life and health insurance are all we do, and we work for you, not the insurance company.  We serve several hundred small businesses, individuals, and Medicare beneficiaries with their specific insurance needs.  We serve clients in the greater Ithaca-Cortland and Southern Tier areas of New York and Pennsylvania.

About our President


Edward C. Moscato, LUTCF

Ed incorporated Moscato & Associates Inc. in 2008. He has been in the insurance business for 23 years and specializes in employee benefit programs for small companies and health insurance for Medicare beneficiaries. Ed has received the designation of Life Underwriting Training Council Fellow (LUTCF). Ed earned his associate's degree in animal science from the State University of New York at Cobleskill. He is a past board president of the Cancer Resource Center of the Finger Lakes, a past committee chair for Boy Scout Troop 95 in Ledyard, New York, and a past member of the King Ferry Volunteer Fire Department. A resident of Genoa, Ed enjoys spending his leisure time golfing, hiking, backpacking, and reading.

Group Medical

  • By far the most common benefit offered to employees is health insurance coverage. A well-designed plan can help them offset the expenses associated with a hospital stay, surgery, expensive testing, and even routine medical care. 
  • The costs associated with providing health insurance have risen dramatically in the past several years, and that makes the service of an independent agent even more valuable to you to manage the cost to your business.  
  • We will take the time to meet with you and review all of the options available to you and your employees. As an independent agent, we offer plans from a number of major insurers and will shop with all of them every year at renewal to get the best rates for you.

Group Dental & Vision

  • Most employees will use a dental plan far more often than a health insurance policy. Why? Because employees that have a good dental plan will see their dentist twice per year for routine cleanings and exams, even though they may not go to a doctor for regular medical treatment. And for employees with children, the value of dental coverage is even greater.

Individual Medical Insurance

  • Now, with the Marketplace ( and a variety of plans available direct from insurance companies, individuals can purchase plans themselves if they don’t have access to a plan from their employer.  
  • The Marketplace offers eligible subscribers access to Advance Premium Tax Credits that can be used to lower monthly premiums, if your income for your household size is less than 400% of the Federal Poverty Level.  

Medicare Options

  • For folks who turn 65, or become eligible for Medicare due to disability, the specifics of how Medicare works, the associated plan choices, and the stress over who to turn to for advice can be overwhelming.  
  • We have over 20 years of experience helping people understand Medicare, and helping them choose a plan that fits their specific needs.  As an independent brokerage, we represent many companies and products which help us help you to make the best decision  FOR YOU.  
  • One unique part of our services, is that we reach out to 100% of our Medicare clientele annually to review their coverage, take a look at what may be changing in the coming year, and adviseour clients on a course of action.
